1983. In-woo, a shy university student falls in love with a young girl who he shares his umbrella with in a rainstorm. After a little awkward, but warm-hearted start the two of them begin a relationship. Everything seems fine until the approach of In-woo's obligatory 2-year military service. Jump to the year 2000. In-woo is a high school teacher married to another woman. He has apparently shed all of his insecurities. He is respected by his class, loved by his wife.
